Liverpool trophy specials ahead of the new season

The new football season is fast approaching as Liverpool look ready to defend their Premier League crown.

Should they do that, the Reds will move ahead of arch-rivals Manchester United in the all-time list by crowning their 21st league title.

However, there are three other major honours up for grabs for the Reds this season and we looked at what the official betting partner to Liverpool, Ladbrokes, are offering on a range of trophies being won this season.

Liverpool to win the Premier League & FA Cup 10/1 @ Ladbrokes

According to Ladbrokes, the most likely season that Liverpool will have is to complete the domestic double by retaining the Premier League and regaining the FA Cup. Arne Slot’s side will be desperate to retain the league title that they fought so hard to win last season whilst a Wembley showpiece in May is always something enjoyed by Liverpool supporters. Last season, a disappointing 4th round exit to Plymouth Argyle ended hopes of winning the FA Cup. However, this year the squad is stacked and rebuilt full of talent and a ‘second-string’ team should be enough to take Liverpool far in the competition.

Liverpool to win the Premier League & EFL Cup 11/1 @ Ladbrokes

Next likely is Liverpool to win the Premier League and the first trophy of the season, the EFL Cup. This is priced at 11/1 and, like for the FA Cup, the EFL Cup might see squad players get minutes in the early rounds. Last season, the Reds made it all the way to the final but were beaten by Newcastle United 2-0 thanks to goals from Dan Burn and now Liverpool's striker Alexander Isak. Fixture congestion is always an issue but the strength of Liverpool’s squad this season is very impressive. The price of 11/1 on this happening seems to be good value.

Liverpool to win the Premier League & Champions League 12/1 @ Ladbrokes

Fancy Liverpool to win the two biggest trophies available? You’ll get 12/1 on the Reds claiming Premier League and Champions League glory this season. Last season, a penalty shoot-out defeat to eventual winners PSG knocked Liverpool out of the tournament after a superb group stage where the Reds finished top of the table. This year, they might be better prepared to go all the way in Europe again. Were they to achieve this, Arne Slot would have cemented himself as a Liverpool great in just his second season at the club.
